The Glendi Greek Festival dates back to 1978 and has historically been regarded as the premier festival of its type attracting up to 40,000 visitors over 2 days. It is a nationally and internationally acclaimed multicultural event.
Glendi is the major project of theĀ Lions Club of Adelaide Hellenic. It raises money for a variety of charities and also provides an opportunity for the various local Greek brotherhoods, associations and clubs to raise money for their benefit.
Glendi is a family oriented event which has built a strong reputation amongst the broader Adelaide and South Australian community. It enjoys strong attendances by individuals of Greek and non-Greek background. It has truly become a multicultural festival for all South Australians to enjoy.
